Getting to the hotel requires a bit of walking from the shuttle bus stop at the train station, and the location feels remote. It’s a 20-minute trek to the city center and markets for those who want more action. There’s also a ramen restaurant on-site, but its appeal after a substantial kaiseki meal seemed puzzling, as we didn't feel hungry enough for more food. While the rooms have a unique layout that's traditional, the evening bed setup caught us off guard since we expected them to be ready upon arrival, and we had to wait until dinner to have them laid out.

comfortable stay but minor heating issue
The staff provided exceptional personalized attention, ensuring our comfort from the moment we arrived. The kaiseki dinner was a culinary delight, highlighting locally sourced ingredients in an elegant presentation. The onsen experience was peaceful, particularly the outdoor bath with its stunning mountain view.
The underfloor heating made the room uncomfortably warm during the night.
